Why do Women Agree to Yachting?

And it should be mentioned right off the bat

This system doesn’t just victimize women, there are male influencers, models, and celebrities (who may be closeted) that are flown overseas to sleep with other powerful men. 

Easy Money-

There's the financial incentive. The yacht girls or celebrities who are said to be engaged in yachting may receive significant payments for their participation, and it seems like relatively easy money. 

And where there is capitalism, there is exploitation.

Type of Person Exploited:

Women. Who aren't finished with their education. Away from their support system. Tired. Struggling to break into the business.

Many of the women who enter the world of elite escorting are young.

They’re often drawn by the allure of financial independence and a glamorous lifestyle. These girls get to eat lavish meals and get champagne on somebody else’s dime. A gift is a powerful transaction—if somebody gives you something, it means that you are worthy. 

To be put into this circuit with rich and powerful elites 

is a source of validation. 

However their youth and relative inexperience can make them susceptible to manipulation. They are navigating an industry where age and Beauty are prized above most attributes and where their value is often assessed on their ability to adhere to the whims of their wealthy patrons. The financial Arrangements in these exclusive agencies can create a dependency that is hard to escape.

In some cases their earnings are withheld until the completion of certain terms or they are penalized financially for canceling engagements further entrenching the power imbalance. Influential figures wield an outsized influence over these women which can lead to situations where the women feel compelled to meet unreasonable demands or engage in activities they are uncomfortable with driven by the fear of losing lucrative engagements or facing financial penalties. 

Networking-

A second reason for agreeing to yachting is that it offers back-to-back parties and mingling with the rich and affluent. The way (wannabe) celebrities might look at it is… I’m gonna sleep with someone regardless, might as well do it for a big check and to further my connections. 

Some celebrities may attend yacht parties and events hosted by wealthy individuals or corporations as a way of getting networking opportunities that can help boost one's career.  

These parties and events can provide for some of their careers as they can be linked with people who have the capacity to pull strings in the entertainment industry. It’s a short-term gig for a long-term future-if the gals play their cards right (and sustain their sexual appeal).

Exploiting yourself can mean short term pain for biiiig long term gains. For example, how did the Kardashian empire kick off?

Deals & Ventures-

Another reason why celebrities may be involved in yachting is negotiating deals.  This is a space where you can get cultural and social capital, can leverage those gains in your own projects or entrepreneurial ventures, and can gain exposure to a world you may otherwise not gain access. An actress or a model might see the party circuit and yachting as a way to forge partnerships or explore new business ventures with these billionaires. 

Karlie Kloss is a perfect example.  Sure, as a model she can make money and travel. But rubbing elbows with investors allowed her to start a koding camp and own a magazine, which are opportunities she probably wouldn’t get otherwise. Or it would take a lot longer. 

Catching the Whale-

Speaking of Karlie, one last reason might be getting married to one of the billionaires. It’s a tale as old as time: Young, beautiful woman marries an (+/- old, +/- ugly) rich guy.

It seems to be a symbiotic situation where both parties get exactly what they want: The old rich guy gets beautiful arm candy and sexual favors, and the young beauty gets a higher standard of living, perhaps fame, and possibly a means to enact some of her personal goals.
