Now I ran some numbers on date and location of the top LiveTrax albums.
These are the years with hatch marks:
92 I
93 II
95 III
96 IIIIx
97 II
98 II
99 II
00 III
01 I
02 I
03 I
04 IIII
06 II
07 III
08 IIII
09 I
10 III
13 II
14 I
15 I
16 I
18 I
19 I
So in general I liked 1996 (5 albums) then 2004 & 2008 (4 albums each). After that it went 1995, 2000, 2007, 2010 (3 albums for each of those years). 1993, 1997-1999, 2006, 2013 had 2 albums each. And lastly, represented but only once was 1992, 2001-2003, 2009, 2014-2019.
It's surprising because I only became a fan in 2012, and (at least in the LiveTrax) years after that are barely represented. 1996 seems like peak Dave for the general public so it makes sense I like songs from those albums a lot. Cool tells me that the band started playing larger venues around that time too, so they probably have better logistics and stuff that really brings the sound out more than those prior early years. And it seems like 2004-2008 had some good things going on musically.
Here are the locations of top LiveTrax albums concert locations (by country/state):
Argentina I
Brazil I
CA IIIIx II
CT II
FL I
GA I
IN II
MA III
MI I
MO II
NV I
OH II
OR I
PA III
Portugal I
NH I
NJ II
NY IIIIx
RI I
VA IIIIx I
WA I
WI III
We'll get to popularity by number of songs in the next post, but for in general great songs on the LiveTrax albums CA had the most representation with 7 albums. Then VA with 6 and closely following was NY with 5 albums. Other notable favorites were MA, PA, and WI with 3 albums each. Then CT, IN, MO, OH, NJ had 2 albums each. The remaining places had 1 album each: Argentina, Brazil, FL, GA, MI, NV, OR, Portugal, NH, RI, and WA. I'll have to go through the first 51 LiveTrax and get the total numbers to calculate the percentages for more accuracy.
And I'll have to look again but here is 'type' of show:
Baseball Stadium II
D&T II
Festival I
This part needs a lot more context which I will add in the next post.
