violin out of tune! Long horn solo. Drums prominent. Horn out of tune at end-screechy. Gets faster. Gets slow again for guitar solo. 

2 Live Trax Vol. 34: 6.24.99 - Deer Creek Music Center - Noblesville, IN

Screamy & Semi-growly singing. Good violin. Horn solo more in tune. Horn section long. Gets intense w/horns & drums. Anticlimactic slow end. 

3 Live Trax Vol. 6: 7.7–7.8.06 - Fenway Park - Boston, MA

Violin solo kinda muted. Loud crowd. Long horn solo. Fast and horn high notes that sound good. Loud crowd. Butch Taylor keyboard/sing. Dave Carter drumming is fast. Keyboard. skats. Seems long. Better than 1 & 2.ends w/stop look what's that sound… 2nd best

4 Live Trax Vol. 18: 6.4.96 - GTE Virginia Beach Amphitheater - Virginia Beach, VA

Dave does some enthusiastic yells. Long horn solo-high, enthusiastic, but super-pitchy. High doesn't mean skilled. Drums urgent and good. Best horn/drum solo yet?

5 Live Trax Vol. 50: 7.10.04 - Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey, PA

Violin ok, but lagging a hair. Violin out of tune. Can hear keyboard. Horn solo. Ends in short frenzy w/drums. Dave skats about keeping your mouth shut, and ends in enthusiastically screamy fashion. Probably best skat. Stop, look what's that sound to end. Better than 4.

6 Live Trax Vol. 28: 11.19.10 - John Paul Jones Arena - Charlottesville, VA

Dave singing w/violin in between w/no issues. Dave seems sassy. Horns take turns solo. Bowdy trumpet is fun. Obvious call & answer. More enthusiastic then 3. Sounds bright. Fun horn duel gets faster (really cool) with crazy drumming. Ends with a lot of high note squeals. A bit too discordant toward the end of the horns at points–high energy though. Fun! Introductions. Dave skats. Fast guitar solo. Horns come in again during guitar. Ends w/stop look what's that sound… Crowd sings. This and #3 best so far.

7 Live Trax Vol. 27: 10.14.10 - Luna Park - Buenos Aires, ARG

Crowd claps. Dave sings very enthusiastically, runs out of breath sometimes. Horn/drums play fast. Introductions. Dave short, but very enthusiastic skat. Tim really good, really fast guitar solo! [best of all of them] Sexy mother fucker (doesn’t hit right anymore). Crowd chants after.

8 Live Trax Vol. 33: 1.31.95 - Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel - Providence, RI

Dave’s best singing of all? Long squeaky horn solo. So many frenzied high notes. Horn trills, and Carter going crazy. You can tell brass is enthusiastic, but it doesn’t sound good.

9 Live Trax Vol. 9: 3.23–3.24.07 - MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las Vegas, NV

Emphatic singing by Dave. Violin ok, but rare out of tune note every so often. Super-duper high notes horn solo (mostly in tune). Butch Taylor on the keys. Horn melody sounds good when they come back in. Dave skats. Smooth transition from skat to interpolation. Ends w/stop look what's that sound.

10 Live Trax Vol. 38: 6.8.96 - Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga Springs, NY

Growly singing. Big crowd cheers for Boyd. Intricate horn. Long solo. Syncopation. Jazzy fades to ending (no skat, interpolations). [Just OK]

11 Live Trax Vol. 17: 7.6.97 - Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View, CA

Las Lobos joins in. Dave sings sweetly. Can hear Carter sing. Punchy violin solo! Horn solo sounds different than the rest-deeper notes. The end gets too high as usual. Can hear base. Snippet of guitar. Kinda jazzy. Faster at end of horn/base/drum part. Ends w/no skat; interpolation.

Violin. Audience, but it’s quiet. Keyboard.

13 Live Trax Vol. 31: 6.23.01 - Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Camden, NJ

Singing part seemed shorter. Violin solo good-can hear base. Can hear Carter sing. Long horn solo. Horn and drum get frenzied. Dave sings introductions. Blank guitar solo. Very long outro. Too much repeated baseline [kinda boring]

14 Live Trax Vol. 37: 11.11.92 - Trax - Charlottesville, VA

‘Boyd’s thing’ Dave singing is nasal. The taping quality isn’t as good-sounds hollow. Piano interlude (different from all other versions). No lyrics singing-growly. Thank yous.

Crowd cheering & clapping & singing. Dave seems enthusiastic-gives another part to audience. The horn solo has lots of high notes-pitchy. Carter is enthusiastic. Dave skats. Really good Tim solo. Ends w/stop look what's that sound-short. Intros.
